The Claude Fable 5 Maximization Plan: How I'm Going All-In To Grow My Business

Rob Cressy
TL;DR
  • Claude Fable 5 is the biggest AI model upgrade since November, available in a free preview window before it moves to paid API access.
  • My mindset: a 13-day all-in sprint. Everything else went to the side of the table.
  • My strategy is four explicit moves: populate the second brain, design the growth engines, build the digital team, codify the skills.
  • The biggest leverage play: use Fable 5 to design infrastructure that cheaper models run after the preview ends.
  • You don't need a technical background. I don't have one either.

Claude just dropped Fable 5, and holy smokes, Batman.

I'm not somebody who chases model upgrades. There's a new "greatest model ever" every few weeks, and most of them don't change how you operate. But when the market speaks this loudly, I listen. Boris Cherny, the Anthropic developer who created Claude Code, called Fable 5 the biggest step up he's seen in their models since November. Look at the top of the food chain. When that guy says it matters, it matters.

Within 24 hours, I cleared my table and ran six overnight builds. This post is my full maximization plan, the mindset behind it, and the layers underneath it so you can run this play for yourself. I'm paying this forward because this is one of those historically great opportunities that can set you and your business up for the next three, five, ten years as agentic AI builds out.

What Is Claude Fable 5?

Claude Fable 5 is Anthropic's newest and most capable AI model, the first in their Mythos-class tier, and it's being called the greatest thing created in AI since November.

The detail that matters most: it's available right now in a free preview window. After that, it moves to the API where it becomes pay to play. For a limited number of days, you get to use the greatest AI computer ever created in the history of the world at no additional cost.

The clock is the opportunity. Everything in this post is built around that window.

What Is the Right Mindset for the Claude Fable 5 Preview?

Go all in. I'm treating the preview as a 13-day sprint where everything else moves to the side of the table.

The number one asset in the world of AI is time. So many people who aren't building with AI say they don't have enough of it. I'm not most people. I'm an entrepreneur in AI, which means I have infinite time because I decide what I do and when. The second Fable 5 dropped, boom, 100% of my focus went to it.

The first morning, I spent five hours building from the second I woke up. That's the level of urgency, because I know by design most people won't do this.

So here's the question to sit with. Which game do you want to be playing? The "I don't have enough time, I can't afford the best models" game? Or the game where you take two weeks to build historically and design the system to pay for itself?

If you're reading this, you're not most people. Neither am I.

What Should You Do First With Claude Fable 5?

Ask Claude itself. You don't need to know anything about model upgrades. You need to know how to prompt to find out.

Here's the exact prompt if you have zero idea where to start:

"Hey Claude, I saw that Fable 5 just came out. Help me understand what it is, how it applies to me, and what's new in it. Make it simple and easy to understand. What's the quick win and low-hanging fruit for me?"

The model brings the technical knowledge. You bring the questions about your business.

My first move was pointing Fable 5 at my Notion second brain. I told it: go into my second brain, starting with my AI-First Dream Business database. Tell me what you see. Notice where there's opportunity for agentic AI to help me grow. What's the hidden and non-obvious?

It audited three and a half years of documented systems and came back with the gap I couldn't see myself. Everything in my business was reliant on me to trigger it. That single diagnosis shaped my entire sprint.

Why Does Claude Fable 5 Need a Second Brain to Work With?

Agentic AI needs things written down. Systems, processes, workflows, context. A second brain is the infrastructure that lets Fable 5 actually see your business.

I learned this from Dan Martell: write everything down, because 92% of what you'll do is by leveraging AI and 8% is the human. My second brain lives in Notion. My build tracker. My signal bank of ideas. My playbook library of standard operating procedures. My field notes, which I call my receipts library.

Here's the part that surprises people. I spend almost no time inside Notion. It houses everything so the AI can use it.

I've spent three and a half years designing this for this moment.

Now that Fable 5 is here, it sees the entire architecture and connects dots I'd never connect on my own. If you don't have a second brain yet, this is the single biggest opportunity in front of you. It's the scalable infrastructure for everything you'll do in the AI era, and every future model upgrade gets more valuable when it has your documented world to work with.

Ed Mylett has a quote I love: the bigger the dream, the deeper the foundation. Fable 5 is the moment a deep foundation starts compounding.

What Is My Claude Fable 5 Strategy? (The Four Moves)

My strategy is a Fable Maximization Plan built around four explicit moves, executed sequentially over the preview window.

Before building anything, I asked one question: if I have 13 days to build historic growth using the greatest AI computer ever created, what does that look like? I wanted to be sequential and organic. Sequential means step by step by step. Organic means it's alive and designed around who you are. AI works better with a system behind it.

Move 1: Populate the second brain. Build the world-class architecture that scales into perpetuity. If design and architecture is what Fable 5 does best, point it at exactly that.

Move 2: Design the growth engines. I organize my business into drivers (things that drive growth), engines (what the drivers build from), foundation (the infrastructure), and sensors (the gauges that tell me how much gas is in the tank). Formulaic and intentional by design.

Move 3: Build the digital team. Everyone talks about agentic AI. Do you actually have it? Is it consistent? Is it generating results every single day? With Fable 5, I'm getting that answer immediately.

Move 4: Codify the skills. Whether it's Claude Code routines, n8n automations, or Notion workflows, create repeatability around everything. These are little Lego blocks that stack on top of each other.

How I execute each move follows my 10-80-10 principle. I bring the vision and the mapping, the first 10%. AI co-creates the other 80%. Then I come in at the bottom to review, validate, and verify the final 10%. I call it the human-AI sandwich. Human, AI, human.

The term to put in your brain: compounding intelligence. Every block makes the next block smarter.

How Much Does Claude Fable 5 Cost After the Preview?

Early estimates put heavy usage at roughly $2,000 to $4,000 a month once Fable 5 moves to the API. My friend Jason Zook asked Fable directly and that's the range it gave him.

Most people see that number and walk away. Flip it around. If I'm paying $2,000 to $4,000 a month to use the most powerful AI ever created, what am I making on the back end?

Part of my maximization plan is literally designing this thing to fund itself based on what we build during the preview. I always want to be in the game at the highest level, so I design that into the game itself.

This is where the haves and have-nots split in AI. The best models are becoming pay to play. The people who build revenue-generating systems during free windows stay at the top of the game permanently.

How Do You Use Fable 5 to Build Systems That Run on Cheaper Models?

Use Fable 5 for what it's best at — designing the infrastructure — then assign each finished routine to a lower-cost model after the preview ends.

This is the biggest insight from my entire sprint, and I co-created it with Fable itself. A lot of people are spending this window building cool apps and games. Totally fine. I want an engine that keeps running without me.

So the play is: have Fable 5 architect the system, then assign each routine to the right model. This routine runs on Sonnet. That one runs on Opus. You're using the most powerful AI to build the car, then letting more affordable engines drive it.

That's the leverage move. You avoid a permanent $4,000 monthly bill while keeping everything Fable built alive. The infrastructure outlasts the preview.

How Do You Run Claude Fable 5 Overnight With Claude Code?

I built a concept called the overnight shift. Before bed, I turn on Claude Code with a queue of tasks that have a clear definition of done and don't need me in the loop. Fable 5 builds while I sleep.

In the first 24 hours, I ran six overnight batches and shipped twelve builds. One run used a million tokens in 32 minutes. The machine doesn't need sleep. I do. That mismatch is the opportunity.

Two simple tools make this possible without a technical background:

The pre-flight brief. Like a pilot's checklist before takeoff. What is this supposed to do 90 days from now? Where does the data live and who owns it? What are the invisible risks and hard-to-reverse decisions? I don't know what I don't know, so I built a skill that shows me my blind spots before every build.

Definition of done. Binary clarity. One or zero. Is the post live or is it not? A clear definition of done is what lets AI run without you. It's also what saves you from being the bottleneck, and I know because I've been the roadblock in my own business more times than I can count.

One more layer: a sprint log. We're in the ultimate show-me-your-receipts era with AI. Twitter is full of gurus saying "here's how I would build it." Show me what you did build. I document every build, every step, every receipt, because confidence is earned and in the AI era you can prove it.

How Do You Build AI Agents With Claude Fable 5?

Start with roles, not tools. I designed four agentic roles into something I call the Home Run Creation Engine, and Fable 5 is building them out right now.

Here's the thinking behind it. It's just as easy for AI to write you an email as it is to build a rocket ship to the moon. Don't spend the most powerful model window on micro efficiencies. Go for the home runs.

I defined three lanes where home runs live: revenue (massive partnerships), reach (content that travels), and relationships (connections two levels above where I am now).

Four agents support the system. The Hunter searches my second brain for swings I might miss. The Amplifier maxes out anything I commit to. The Killer enforces discipline: if I haven't moved on a swing in 21 days, it dies. The Scoreboard tracks the receipts.

A simple weekly cadence runs it all. Fifteen minutes Monday reviewing the Hunter report. A two-hour window Thursday working only on home run swings. The Killer report runs Friday.

What this unlocks: home runs are guaranteed to be in your system because you designed it that way. Big swings stop being something you get to when you find time. They're built into the architecture.

Right now this is semi-autonomous. The goal is a full roster of agents that each own their piece while I sit in the orchestrator role.

Which Game Do You Want to Be Playing?

These next two weeks are one of those historically great windows. The right mindset, an explicit strategy, and a deep foundation can set your business up for years as agentic AI builds out.

I'm building an AI-first dream business in public, one receipt at a time, by design. I don't have a technical background. I'm not a developer. I see what the developers are sharing, I track it, and I translate it into something simple. Then I cook on top of it.

Those of us who are crazy enough to believe we can change the world actually do.

There has never been a better time in the history of the world to make your dreams, goals, and vision happen than right now. Pick your window and go all in.
